Self-clinch standoffs are used to secure and space panels, boards or components to sheet metal. The standoff has a hexagon end with a special undercut groove which is pressed into a sheet metal punched hole using an anvil tool. The sheet metal material flows into the groove creating a strong connection, providing good torque and pull out forces. Self-clinch standoffs are commonly used in the sheet metal industry, providing great convenience and reducing the cost of installation.
