Weld studs do not require drilling, punching or threading, therefore saving time and cost. After they have been welded to sheet metal, there are no visible marks on the rear surface or leaking and the joint strength is superior to the strength of the standoff itself. The weld process is short and uses a high current with small weld penetration which means that they are suitable for thin sheet and rarely deformed so do not need to be dressed after installation.
